Mara Ferris is the founder and owner of GEN9 Productions. Her passion for filmmaking is rooted in the power of storytelling; bringing compelling stories to life through her camera lens, engaging inspiration, curiosity, and leveraging change.

GEN9 Productions has produced award winning productions all over the United States creating content for nonprofit organizations, private foundations, museums, universities, and government agencies.

Mara’s passion for adventure has taken her to a diverse range of environments with her camera - filming remote archaeological projects in the desert southwest, historical explorations on the high plains of Kansas, scientific and traditional knowledge expeditions with the Native American Ute tribes of Colorado and Utah, and hydroplane boat races on the Ohio river.
